Top Upcoming Visual Merchandising Trends

Retailers use visual merchandising, a marketing technique, to display things in a way that grabs customers' attention and enhances the likelihood that they will buy something. Additionally, visual merchandising facilitates customers' effortless product discovery. Retailers employ visual merchandising tools like eye-catching displays, appealing end caps, and well-organized shelves to draw customers in. Brick-and-mortar stores need to stay on top of the newest trends in visual merchandising if they want to draw in customers since they are competing with e-commerce platforms that can change the design and don't need to place their products on a shelf.
1.Experiential merchandising: Also known as retailtainment, experiential merchandising is the way to arrange and promote products inside the store that would offer customers a different experience. Rather than concentrating on selling more products or being forceful, businesses should delight customers through marketing techniques that attract customers to buy them. The best way to achieve this is to test out a robotic point-of-sale system.
2.More informational signage: More informative signage will also start to appear in stores in 2022. Before making a purchase, consumers want to learn more about the goods. Due to this, 80 per cent of people conduct their pre-purchase research online. Offering complimentary goods is always a wise choice. Additionally, providing styling advice in-store is a terrific method to encourage clients to picture the product in their upcoming outfits.

3.Stores within stores: Stores within stores are another great visual merchandising idea that retailers must use in 2022. Even though it may not be a new trend, this tactic nevertheless manages to draw clients. Pop-up stores are set up by retailers inside their stores.
4.Phygital in-store: Another excellent trend that can be incorporated into the visual merchandising plan is phygital in-store. Phygital is a mix of the terms physical and digital. While eCommerce systems only emphasise digital strategies, physical stores can integrate both of these components.
5.Sustainability in retail: The idea of sustainability in retail is currently quite popular. It's time for retailers to prioritise sustainability, as 30 per cent of food in American grocery stores is wasted, fast fashion factories emit 10 per cent of the world's carbon dioxide, and they are the second-largest users of fresh water. In reality, customers are pressuring retailers to reform. 51 per cent of consumers between the ages of 16 and 34 said they are more inclined to patronise a retailer that consistently works to be sustainable than one that hasn't.
6.Instagramable displays: Every day, people use social media for 145 minutes. They both watch and distribute user-generated content. It can be helpful to promote business by encouraging people to share pictures with their friends and followers via Instagram by designing shelf displays and shelves that are Instagram-friendly. This can increase word-of-mouth advertising and help to attract more customers to the store.
